Siobhan Clover is an emerging artist born and raised in coastal Delaware, whose work centers the visceral and the surreal, while navigating the personal, political, and spiritual. Expressing herself through free verse, lyric, elegy, and prose, she strives for both unique composition and emotional resonance. She aims to speak to her experiences and observations in a manner that electrifies her readers in intimate, often macabre, tableaus.
Now twenty-three, her creative spirit first found a home in theatre and literature. She participated in the arts, studying performance and theatrical production the entirety of her secondary education and into her brief collegiate career. After withdrawing in the face of the pandemic, she applied herself to poetry when stages went dark.
She enjoys experimentation and subversion in the form, rehashing myth in search of some universal truth. Her body of work tackles love, grief, psychology, magic, queerness, politics, and the beauty and horror of being alive, invoking older stories to exemplify these themes.
Her purpose in creation is to express herself in a manner that provides solace or a call to action, even if the call is to just sit and feel for a moment. However, with times being what they are, she looks forward to utilizing her artistic voice in the interest of amplifying the chorus.
She will be featured in the upcoming Bards Across The Pond: A U.S. And U.K. Poetry Anthology with "Once Upon A Coldfront" and recently appeared in the first edition of the Eastern Sea Bards Poetry Anthology with "Pious", as well as the 2025, 2024, and 2023 Delaware Bards Poetry Review with "Library Confessional", "Cold, Blue Peril", and "The Death of Summer", respectively. She has also appeared in the 2024 and 2023 Poets Anonymous Gathering: A Poetry Anthology with "Frostbite" and "Tombstone". And in "Quintessential Listening: Poetry Online Radio Presents Siobhan Clover", she showcased a range of written word while discussing her life, ethos, and process.
