Siobhan Clover is an emerging artist in the DMV whose work centers the visceral and the surreal, tangling the personal, political, and spiritual. Expressing herself through free verse, lyric, elegy, and prose, she strives for both unique composition and emotional resonance. She aims to portray her experiences and observations in a manner that electrifies her readers in intimate, often macabre, tableaus.
Now twenty-four, her creative spirit first found a home in theatre and literature. She participated in the arts, studying performance and stage production the entirety of her secondary education and into her brief collegiate career. After withdrawing in the face of the pandemic, she applied herself to poetry when stages went dark.
She enjoys experimentation and subversion in the form, rehashing myth in search of some universal truth. Her body of work tackles love, grief, psychology, magic, queerness, politics, and the beauty and horror of being alive, invoking older stories to exemplify these themes.
Her purpose in creation is to express herself in a manner that provides solace and a call to action, even if the call is just to reflect. However, with times being what they are, she is most interested in utilizing her artistic voice to amplify the chorus.
She is soon to be featured in The Eagle and The Maple: A United States and Canadian Poetry Anthology (“Missionary”), as well as the recent publications Bards Across The Pond: A U.S. And U.K. Poetry Anthology (“Once Upon A Coldfront") and the Eastern Sea Bards Poetry Anthology ("Pious"). She has also appeared in the 2025, 2024, and 2023 Delaware Bards Poetry Review with "Library Confessional", "Cold, Blue Peril", and "The Death of Summer" and the 2025, 2024, and 2023 Poets Anonymous Gathering: A Poetry Anthology with “Devotee”, "Frostbite", and "Tombstone", respectively. And in "Quintessential Listening: Poetry Online Radio Presents Siobhan Clover", she showcased a range of written word while discussing her life, ethos, and process. In addition to her body of work, she has also provided consultation for varying projects, from screenplays to music videos, as she enjoys delving into other mediums and learning new ways to apply her skills to the creative process.
